This is an exciting time to join us. The three NHS trusts that currently run Broomfield, Southend and Basildon hospitals are planning to become a new single NHS organisation by mid-2019.
All three hospitals will continue to provide the services our patients use the most. These include outpatient appointments, children’s services and day-case surgery. All three hospitals will continue to provide 24/7 A&E and maternity services.
By working as one team we will provide the same high standard of care and services for all of our 1.2m local residents. Using the same equipment, processes and IT systems means services will run more smoothly. Single leadership, standards and new structures will speed up decision making. Combined corporate services will reduce duplication and cut running costs. This means more money for front-line services and faster improvements.

Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is currently looking to recruit Domestic Assistants to join our Bank.
Domestic Assistants are required to work in various Wards and Departments promoting and providing cleanliness at all times.
Health & Safety policies must be adhered to and there will be a requirement to clean infected areas.
Successful candidates will provide essential cover as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure best patient care.
Previous cleaning experience in an environment with recognised infection control processes is essential.
Shifts for this position are Monday – Sunday 7 am - 3 pm or 3 pm - 11 pm daily in addition there are some night and twilight shifts available.
Bank work is flexible and is ideal to compliment other commitments you may have, however you must be able to commit to full shifts, ideally 2 – 3 a week.
Please note that bank work is not guaranteed hours
Bank staff provide valuable support to our substantive workforce and it is essential you are hardworking and reliable.
Training will be provided free of charge.
