This is an exciting time to join us. The three NHS trusts that currently run Broomfield, Southend and Basildon hospitals are planning to become a new single NHS organisation by mid-2019.
All three hospitals will continue to provide the services our patients use the most. These include outpatient appointments, children’s services and day-case surgery. All three hospitals will continue to provide 24/7 A&E and maternity services.
By working as one team we will provide the same high standard of care and services for all of our 1.2m local residents. Using the same equipment, processes and IT systems means services will run more smoothly. Single leadership, standards and new structures will speed up decision making. Combined corporate services will reduce duplication and cut running costs. This means more money for front-line services and faster improvements.

The present Eleanor Hobbs ward is a 35 bedded mixed general medical ward with emphasis on gastroenterology/infectious/endocrine disorders, caring for acute and chronic medical problems.
All multidisciplinary team member aim to provide an environment for staff and patients that is conducive to the provision of compassionate, reliable, effective and safe care.
Each medical team is led by a consultant and nursing led by a ward manager and a matron.
We are currently looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic and caring nurse to join our dynamic team. You will need to be a motivated team orientated professional with a passion for delivering good nursing care in an ever changing environment. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork.
There is plenty of opportunity to develop your management, clinical and educational skills in this busy ward, supported by very experienced senior nurses, MDT team and 8 consultants.
