This is an exciting time to join us. The three NHS trusts that currently run Broomfield, Southend and Basildon hospitals are planning to become a new single NHS organisation by mid-2019.

 All three hospitals will continue to provide the services our patients use the most. These include outpatient appointments, children’s services and day-case surgery.  All three hospitals will continue to provide 24/7 A&E and maternity services.

By working as one team we will provide the same high standard of care and services for all of our 1.2m local residents. Using the same equipment, processes and IT systems means services will run more smoothly.  Single leadership, standards and new structures will speed up decision making.  Combined corporate services will reduce duplication and cut running costs. This means more money for front-line services and faster improvements.

Applicants are invited to apply for a Clinical Fellow  ST2 Level in Trauma & Orthopaedics at Southend University NHS Foundation Trust. The department of Trauma & Orthopaedics is lead by a team of 11 Consultants. This post provides excellent experience in both trauma and elective orthopaedics.

This is a fixed term 6 month contract.

This post is NOT recognised for Training.

Throughout this post support in developing a Learning Portfolio and regular educational appraisal with a Consultant Educator will be available.

The Trust has an excellent Postgraduate Medical Centre which carries a full programme of events and offers access to a Medical Library.
