All three hospitals will continue to provide the services our patients use the most. These include outpatient appointments, children’s services and day-case surgery. All three hospitals will continue to provide 24/7 A&E and maternity services.
By working as one team we will provide the same high standard of care and services for all of our 1.2m local residents. Using the same equipment, processes and IT systems means services will run more smoothly. Single leadership, standards and new structures will speed up decision making. Combined corporate services will reduce duplication and cut running costs. This means more money for front-line services and faster improvements.

Our Respiratory Unit (formally Westcliff and Rochford ward) is looking for an experienced registered nurse to join their friendly and dynamic teams to help deliver excellent care.
Our respiratory unit is a 12-bedded respiratory high dependency unit (ARCU).They look after patients with conditions such as COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), asthma, cysytic fibrosis, lung cancer along with other respiratory disorders. The successful candidate will be a motivated team orientated professional with a passion for delivering good nursing in an ever changing environment. They must possess excellent communication skills, a high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork.
