Here at Southend University Hospital we strive to provide high quality care for every patient, every time.
We would be nothing without our staff. So it goes without saying that when it comes to recruiting new team members, we're looking for the best. We encourage staff to be innovative, to challenge the "as is" and to always put patients first.
We want staff who will live our trust values every day.
Care with compassion, Working together, Professional and accountable
This is an exciting time to join us. The three NHS trusts that currently run Broomfield, Southend and Basildon hospitals are planning to become a new single NHS organisation by mid-2019.
All three hospitals will continue to provide the services our patients use the most. These include outpatient appointments, children’s services and day-case surgery. All three hospitals will continue to provide 24/7 A&E and maternity services.
By working as one team we will provide the same high standard of care and services for all of our 1.2m local residents. Using the same equipment, processes and IT systems means services will run more smoothly. Single leadership, standards and new structures will speed up decision making. Combined corporate services will reduce duplication and cut running costs. This means more money for front-line services and faster improvements.
Attracting new talent is key to our future and the scale of our organisation will give far more career, training and development opportunities for all our staff.
Applicants are invited to apply for the post of Clinical Fellow (ST1/2 level) in Diabetes & Endocrinolgy at Southend University Hospital. This is a fixed term contract to start on the 6th February 2019 until the 6th August 2019.
Southend University Hospital is committed to providing excellence in training of junior staff and caring for our patients. The appointee will be expected to manage both Nephrology and general medical patients under our care on the wards and take part in the on call rota for medical admissions.
The Trust has an excellent Postgraduate Medical Centre which carries a full programme of events and offers access to a Medical Library.
Should you feel you have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would welcome your application.
