BMS Controls Technician – Energy Department

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced BMS Technician to support the Senior Management team in the safe operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and installations within the hospital estate.

BMS Controls Technician – Energy Department, Estates & Facilities
department are looking for a driven individual with technical or engineering systems knowledge to join our Estates and Facilities department as a BMS Controls Technician.

The BMS Controls Technician will take day to day responsibility for the operation of our building energy management control systems, investigate and rectify alarms generated by it, check and maintain comfort and environmental standards while at the same time optimise energy usage.

The ideal candidate will have an electrical or mechanical background and knowledge of building services equipment such as actuators, fan coil units, heating and hot water systems and inverter drives. However, candidates with general engineering experience or a relevant technical qualification would also be considered.

The candidate would also be conversant with the full range of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
