This is an exciting time to join us. The three NHS trusts that currently run Broomfield, Southend and Basildon hospitals are planning to become a new single NHS organisation by mid-2019.

 All three hospitals will continue to provide the services our patients use the most. These include outpatient appointments, children’s services and day-case surgery.  All three hospitals will continue to provide 24/7 A&E and maternity services.

By working as one team we will provide the same high standard of care and services for all of our 1.2m local residents. Using the same equipment, processes and IT systems means services will run more smoothly.  Single leadership, standards and new structures will speed up decision making.  Combined corporate services will reduce duplication and cut running costs. This means more money for front-line services and faster improvements.

Southend Hospital Rehabilitation Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who is keen to work with therapy teams in the hospital. The post is based on the acute inpatient wards and involves responsibility for a delegated workload. The successful candidate will be required to work with patients both independently carrying out treatment programmes and with the therapists or other therapy assistants.

Applications are sought from individuals who are committed to providing high quality patient care, have excellent communication skills and can demonstrate the ability to cope in a range of busy and challenging environments.

The department provides a comprehensive induction with on-going supervision to support personal development and competencies in these roles.

All posts involve weekend working.
